30 SuperDialogues between Youth and Government
(December 2005 – February 2006)

After 300 workshops on youth activism for more than 6500 high school students from over 70 schools from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina during the year 2005, OIA BiH started organizing special encounters between youth and government. The first encounter of this kind named 'Super Dialogue' was held on 22 December, 2005 from 5 P.M to 6.30 P.M, in the of Novi Grad Municipality Hall, and in the following two months 30 dialogues will be realized in ten cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The dialogue has been conceived as a panel discussion in which thirty young people form different schools and organizations will ask questions to the guests (representatives of different government institutions, municipalities, etc) about their position, needs and plans and the way they should be responded to. The encounter also has educational importance because it informs in a way the participants about the activities of local authorities, about some of their jurisdictions, and the communication with them. Beside this, the young people who will participate in the dialogue have for a task proposition of certain initiatives, as well as informing their peers through web portal www.mladi.info about the results of the encounter and the subsequent steps when it comes to following the activities of local authorities. This is an opportunity for the youth to become involved in the process of consulting and even decision making on the local level…
This project is a part of a wider project of peer education for active young people supported by the International Centre Olof Palme and Open Society Fund–Bosnia and Herzegovina – Soros Foundation
