Active Youth Teams (TAM) created in 7 B&H regions (7th – 10th October 2006)

Training for 44 new young educators (aged between 15 and 18 years) was held rom 7th to 10th October on Jahorina. Together with OIA advisors, they will form “Active Youth Teams in Bihać, Banjaluka, Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica and Zvornik. With the coordination by Samir Halilović, the Program Coordinator, and Jan Zlatan Kulenović, OIA Executive Manager, these teams will be engaged in organising workshops on youth activism in high schools throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, organising the dialogue between the young people and local authorities, informing young people through youth info desks (Bihać, Zenica i Zvornik), special info bulletins, gathering local information for www.mladi.info web site, and the promotion of youth activism concerning the representatives of local authorities.

After similar activities had been carried out successfully in the last school year, the second generation of young educators will officially start working after they have completed the training process on Jahorina. This project was supported by FODBiH and Olof Palme/SIDA International Centre.
