Workshops on Discrimination and Intolerance (02/11 - 16/11/06)

Youth Information Agency and OSCE Mission in BiH organised four regional workshops in BiH in November where 180 young people from 35 cities had the opportunity to articulate their opinions on topic extremely important for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina – discrimination and intolerance in society. In these gatherings, youth had the opportunity to identify all forms, causes and groups endangered by discrimination which is strongly present in post-conflict, transitional BiH, full of differences. Those were not educational workshops, but rather opportunities for dozens of young people from different cities, different organisations, youth groups, universities and schools to present their views regarding these issues. Special accent was put on the role of youth – in which way, as specifically as possible, can young people of BiH be active participants in the fight against some forms of discrimination and intolerance and what are the things they might need in performing such role.

Final presentation of the whole process and results from four workshops will be the central  topic in one of BHT TV shows for promotion of youth activism „Niđe veze“.
