YIA PARTICIPATED IN ERYIC GENERAL ASSEMBLY

From 30/11/ until 03/12/ YIA participated in General Assembly of European Youth Informing and Counselling Agency (ERYICA). This year it was organised in Paris, France. This was the fourth Assembly in which YIA took participation; YIA, as the partnership organisation with the "national partner" status, was not entitled to vote during the election of the new President and the members of the Steering Board of the Agency, however, it participated on equal terms in the plenary sessions as well as in the activities of the working group tasked to deal with ERYICA programme objectives for 2007/2009, which are the following: better visibility in informing of the youth and its outputs, identification and promotion of the new methods to improve the quality of informing of the youth and products, and presentation of the factual situation and position in the field of youth informing in Europe, based on democratic and transparent decision-making processes.

Following the presentation of the project activities of YIA BiH, and the methods and tools used to inform the youth, the present participants were positively surprised by the work and the outputs of YIA. Many ERYICA members decided that in their own work they will apply innovative approach and creative methods in informing of youth used by YIA.

The meeting in Paris was the opportunity to agree the necessary activities to continue realisation of the project which had been initiated during the previous ERYICA meeting. Namely, the teams composed of four members, the representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina (YIA), Croatia (MMH) and Slovenia (MISSS) will take part in study visit to Belgium and partnership organisation which is the project carrier, IN PETTO, in March 2007. The study visit will be the opportunity to present the Belgian practice in implementation of youth policy, particularly the informing of the youth, to the participants, YIA info-officers.
