MEETING YOUTH FROM FRANCE, GERMANY AND BIH

International cultural exchange on topic “Identity", organised by Youth information agency in BiH and French-German organisation "Roudel", was held in period between 7th and 14th October 2007 in Sarajevo.

Aside from participants from France and Germany, mainly youth and social workers, this cultural exchange gathered dozen of young people from BiH, and introduced them to political, sports, religious, cultural and historical differences in BiH, and especially in Sarajevo.

Tour of Sarajevo marked introduction of participants to cultural and historical identity of BiH. As a part of introducing religious identity, there were visits to the Cathedral, Beg’s Mosque, Old Orthodox Church, Synagogue and other religious monuments.

Political identity of BiH was depicted through the study visit to Parliament Assembly of BiH and introduction to political system of BiH, followed by a workshop where participants presented political systems of their countries on local and state level.

On Thursday, 11th October, participants visited Mostar and became familiar with the culture and history of the city on Neretva. The following day featured visit to KSC Skenderija, stadium "Asim Ferhatović Hase" and Olympic Hall Zetra as a part of sports tour.

Cultural exchanges between France, Germany and BiH have been held during the past 6 years, the last being held in July 2007 in Germany, and after the meeting in Sarajevo, the next one will be in France.
