4. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FEDERALISM (05. – 7.11.2007.)

In the period between 5th and 7th November, 4th international conference on federalism was organised in New Delhi by the Government of India and Federation Forum. Over 800 representatives from different government structures, academic community, NGOs and practitioners from those countries that have some form of federal constitution participated on this conference. On behalf of BiH, there were Mayor of Bihać, Director of Union of municipalities and cities of FBiH, Swiss programme and agency in BiH, as well as the director of EDA from Banja Luka. Executive Director of YIA, Jan Zlatan Kulenović, participated in the special programme for young world professionals. The conference served as an opportunity to define the best practice and lessons learned throughout the world regarding the concept of federal states and ways to achieve and maintain diversity and pluralism, to govern finances and development, and create some new public policies in a country.
