FAIRS OF YOUTH IDEAS (12.2007.)


Youth information agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina organised 13 Fairs in December 2007, where these fairs represent unique form for promotion of youth activism and participation of youth in society. Fairs resulted from the new cycle of workshops organised by YIO, the purpose of which was to inform the youth on possibilities to have an active role in society, how to create ideas, prepare and make project which were presented on fairs.

The best projects, as decided by jury of experts and all participants, were rewarded with financial support for project activities in amount of 400 KM. For certain events, members of jury majority of which came from local authorities, promised and provided additional means; on the Fair of Youth Ideas held in Novo Sarajevo Municipality, presenters of project ideas were enabled by the local authorities to realise all 11 presented project by means of a grant amounting to 4.400 KM.

Fairs held in Banja Luka, Bihać, Bijeljina, Cazin, Kakanj, Kiseljak, Mostar, Prnjavor, Sarajevo, Zavidovići, Tuzla, Zenica and Zvornik hosted 1180 participants and presented total of 67 project evaluated by 41 judges.
